Remember when Pinkie Pie had her own DM text-box?

I had almost forced the memory out of my mind (Feeling Pinkie Keen had been really tough to write!) until I got to this page and realized all three of my DMs were in the same room. I had to make some kind of reference to that. These three trying to run the same world, the same game, would be a special kind of insanity.

Insane, yes.
But not the type I prefer.
Too many cooks, and all that stuff.

By the way, Raxon.
Are you missing some blades that looks like these?

I'm hoping she tries to use fake guns (which she can't because there are no guns). Think you can make that happen discord?
Discord 12th Jul 2018, 11:14 AM edit delete reply
The answer is I could, but I'll never will.

1. I'd be kicked off the show faster than Pinkie can eat a cake.

2. I don't do destructive chaos.

Freeze, or we'll shoot you with our invisible guns!

Oh wait, I realize what you're saying.

Freeze, or we'll continue to point our fingers at you, but more menacingly!
ZhonLord 12th Jul 2018, 1:45 PM edit delete reply
I mean, if Tales of the Borderlands can have a Boss vs Accounting fingergun fight, anything can happen right?

Well, it's not destructive. It's fake guns that don't exist and that's why it's funny.

Whenever I see the saying "too many cooks", it reminds me of this:

oooh, like the subtle characterization of Pinkie's player in panel 3

Indeed. Easy to miss, and she hides it well, but there it is.

Pepperidge Farm remembers.

Isn't that supposed to be "Famer's Insurance remembers?"

But I suppose only Pepperidge Farm remembers those ads.

I only know Farmer's for "We cover a lot of things because we've seen a lot of things."

🎶We are Farmers. Bum, badum badum ba-dum.🎶

A world with three creators, one of Law, one of Chaos, and one of Chaos Plus...

Yeah, I don't see that ending well either.

Seems like the standard generic world one of my former GMs ran. 66% crazy and no seat belts.

Maybe it can happen in a later arc, especially if Discord's open to it?

But yeah, that might be too much for this first exposure.

I don't know a heterodyne could bring an extra 'spark' and make the game a work of pure genius.
Greenhornet 12th Jul 2018, 6:47 AM edit delete reply
Somebody's going to say it, so...

"Yes... Give in to your anger and complete your journey to the dark side!"

In other news, I just read the latest MLP FisM comic book. Tempest Shadow (we're totally doing the movie in this comic in the future, right?) mentions that Equestria would not be so easy to conquer if it had Princesses of Ultimate Melee Combat, Air Superiority, and Explosions. I automatically cast Rarity, Rainbow Dash, and Pinkie Pie in those roles.

Oh, please no!
Bezerker21 12th Jul 2018, 7:35 AM edit delete reply
Oh looks like pinkie's player still has some self esteem issues!
Aeshdan 13th Jul 2018, 6:11 PM edit delete reply
Which might be part of why she went with this idea. If she's worried that they only think of Pinkie as the obnoxious comic relief, what better way to test that than to cut out the comedy?
Archone 12th Jul 2018, 10:07 AM edit delete reply
I LOVE that summation: "Cliche action-badass is its own kind of silly." Yes. Yes it is.
TrueZero2 12th Jul 2018, 10:19 AM edit delete reply
Right, so that's Applejack and Pinkie Pie. Next up, Rarity!
Ether Space 12th Jul 2018, 10:24 AM edit delete reply
Actually, next is watching Twilight be baffled. I'm a really looking forward to that.
Brickman 12th Jul 2018, 7:46 PM edit delete reply
Applejack's player would flip if she knew that Pinkie got to pick her own curse like this.
Guest 12th Jul 2018, 10:04 PM edit delete reply
I almost don't think so. For AJ, it's clear she's both a meta gamer, and wants a challenge. Which is usually a bit contradictory, but here it's pretty clearly realized by giving her a limitation to work around, with the implication that she gets the full reward for figuring out a solution. Letting her pick her own limitation would have her naturally choose one that allows the most benefit, which would only remove the challenge she's seeking.

In a way, taking away control, and making the goal be to reclaim that control as well as a special ability to assert control should it be reclaimed (the knowledge), gives her exactly what she wants. And not necessarily in the "you'll get it good and hard" way, either.
Dragonflight 13th Jul 2018, 2:03 PM edit delete reply
So... If Pinkie played a guest-shot no-nonsense action one-shot, would that be Tempest Shadow?
